i don't get blogging...

so today i signed up for my own blog, as a matter of staying in touch with a dear friend (you know who you are ms. libby) - who is horrible at sending letters, and refuses to do facebook, or myspace, or anything else that is convenient. so i have finally crumbled that last little bit of resolve that i held against complete internet saturation and joined in on the mystifying fad that is blogging.

quite personally i don't understand it. plus, it automatically dredges up images of tortured adolescents pouring out angsty gripes and veiled suicide threats by the demonic glow of a computer screen. add to that the fact that i know no bloggers to read this (aside from the dear friend of course), and i find the sound of the word blog extremely unattractive. so this could very well be my only entry. but, i have said such a thing before and been forced to humble myself later. a few months could see me becoming a crazed super -blogger for all i know.

until then, we can only wait and see (don't fall for the old cliffhanger ending) ...
